About Me.

Welcome to Sweet Health Care! I’m Mary Cate Leonard, a family practice-trained Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a passion for providing patient-centered, preventive care. My journey in health care began with a Bachelor of Nursing from Washington State University, where I gained invaluable experience in surgical care and urgent care settings. I quickly advanced to Charge Nurse in urgent care, honing my skills in fast-paced environments.

I earned my Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Gonzaga University, where I was deeply honored to be recognized by my peers and faculty as the “Most Outstanding Nurse Practitioner” of my graduating class. This achievement reflects my dedication to excellence and commitment to patient care.

Since graduating, I’ve served as a primary care provider in women’s health and focused my practice on preventive medicine. My goal is to keep patients as healthy as possible while remaining relentless in finding answers when health concerns arise. I take pride in solving medical mysteries and attribute much of my success to the strong partnerships I build with my patients. I believe health care is a collaborative effort, and I’m humbled to be part of each patient’s journey.

Outside of medicine, I bring a servant leadership philosophy to my work—a value deeply rooted in my experience launching a nonprofit organization. This heart for service drives my commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care for every patient.
